Disaster Renovation
Project Scope:
A unit fire severely damaged 10 units in this conventional apartment community, and the sprinkler system had activated to cause water damage as well. The fire had burned much of the building, so we did a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation including:
Demolished damaged structures
Reframed the building and rebuilt the balconies
Installed all-new electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Installed new cabinets, tubs, toilets, showers, and hot water heaters
Re-roofed the building
Installed new and sheet rock in all units
Installed new interior doors, windows, insulation, and hardware throughout
Repainted interiors and exteriors
The fire had completely destroyed sections of the building, so we had to demolish and rebuild many of the units from the ground up.
The extent of the damage made it necessary for residents to be completely moved out. We were able to finish rebuilding within 4 months, after which tenants were able to move back into brand-new units.
